Mount Cho Oyu is an internationally very prominent mountain peak for climbing in the world. Mt. Cho Oyu 8201, is the sixth highest mountain peak out of 14th highest peaks and one of the most gorgeous mountains of the world, Cho Oyu located on both sides of the border of Nepal and Tibet, about 30 km. west of Mount Everest. Cho oyu means "Turquoise Goddess" in Tibetan. Mt. Cho Oyu is one of the famous Himalayan peaks for mountaineering. It has a great history of mountaineering right from the time when many mountaineers were trying their luck of Everest. Mr. Herbert Tichy, Sepp Jocher and Pasang Dawa Sherpa Lama (Austrian climbing team) had conquered to reach on top of Mt. Cho Oyu. There was an interesting fact about the climbing period that bottled of oxygen was not used. From that time to till moment, more that 500 mountain seekers climbing successfully climbed on the top of the Mt. Cho Oyu. Most of the team climbed from the Tibet side because it seems fairly plain from the Tibet side and easy technique through the Tibet, it means, the mountaineers feel more easily for climbing rather than Nepal side. From Nepal side Mt. Cho Oyu looks steeper, means harder then Tibet side. Since mountaineering in Tibet has been open number of Himalayan peaks from 6000m to above 800m including the Mount Everest. We operate fully organized to make available any logistical support of any kind of expeditions. Mountaineers / climbers thought that Mount Cho Oyu is an easy mountain, we are still concerned on all the logistics, food, equipments, and most importantly, climbing experience of our clients. If you are thinking of climbing Cho Oyu, then you must have at least climbed a 6000 m peaks. Mountaineers /Climbers can climbed the mount Cho Oyu from both side Nepal and Tibet. Day 01. Arrive at Kathmandu Airport:
You will be met by our airport representative and transfer to hotel and a short brief about Tibet after refreshment.
Day 02. Sightseeing Tour in Kathmandu:
Kathmndu Valley sightseeing tour including Kathmandu durbar square, Patan durbr square, Baudhnath Stupa, Swayabhu Nath, Pashupatinath Temple and Preparation for Mount Cho Oyu Expedition.
Day 03. Tibet visa producer and briefing about the Tibet and climbing.
Day 04. Drive from Kathmandu to Kodari and transfer to Zhangmu
Day 05. Drive from Zhangmu to Nyalam
Day 06. Explore a day in Nyalam for acclimatization.
Day 07. Drive from Nyalam to Tingri.
Day 08. Rest day for acclimatization.
Day 09. Drive to Cho Oyu Base Camp. Overnight at Camp
Day 10. Rest day for acclimatization. Overnight at Camp
Day 11. Rest day for acclimatization. Overnight at Camp
Day 12. Trek to Middle Base Camp (5400m.-17,280ft). Overnight at Camp
Day 13. Trek to Cho Oyu Advance Base Camp (5600m.-17,920ft). Overnight at Camp
Day 14-34. Climbing Period for Cho Oyu (8201m.)
Day 35. Reserve day at Advance Base Camp. Overnight at Camp
Day 36. Trek back to Base Camp. Overnight at Camp
Day 37. Drive back from Cho Oyu Base Camp to Nyalam.
Day 38. Driver from Nyalam – Kathmandu by drive then transfer to Hotel.
