Nepal - Trekking In Nepal - Ganesh Himal Trekking Service

Mt. Ganesh Himal is one of the beautiful mountains in Nepal which lies to the northwest of Kathmandu valley and east of Langtang Himal. This is easily visible on a clear day from Kathmandu city. In Nepal, there a saying that the place where the lamp stands will always dark. The highest peak in Ganesh Himal is Mount Ganesh I (Yangra). The first successful ascent took place in 1955 by a Franco-Swiss Expedition team via the Southeast Ridge. Mount Ganesh II is notable for its exceptional steep rise above local terrain rising 5800m. From Burhi Gandaki in a horizontal distance of about 16km. There were several unsuccessful attempts on This peak from 1950s and finally, submitted in 1981 via Northeast spur (drive) and North Face. Nine to twelve days trekking is needed to reach the ganesh himal base camp. The walk is mostly through typical Nepalese villages and forests and jungles of oak, rhododendron, bamboo, pine and others. The single mountain pass (4500m) is the highest point of the trail, but we are well acclimatized to the altitude before we attempt it
