Langtang valley trekking is one of the popular trekking in Langtang region. It is located north of Kathmandu valley. The Langtang valley is aptly called "the valley of glaciers". Langtang valley trekking offers superb Himalayan scenery including the Mount Lantang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Naya kanga, Gyachungkhang, Yala peak and Annapurna himalaya range, wild animals such as Leopards, panda, Ghoral, Tharal, Moutain thar , monkeys , Musk deer etc , birds such as Pheasants (Nepal national bird), Longtail bird, sparrows ,Himalayan dove, pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primulas. Trekking in langtang valley is a right choice for both nature lovers and the adventurers. Langtang valley is the high and isolated region is inhabited by Tamangs whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to Tibetan people. Langtang valley trekking gives you the opportunity to get right in among the Himalayan peaks and to get off-the-beaten-track, walking through some fascinatingly remote and relatively unpopulated areas. Langtang valley treks passes through an ever-changing climate and offers trekkers an exceptional diversity of scenery and culture.
Langtang valley trek start with 7 to 8 hour drive to Syabru Bensi from kathmandu. Initially langtang valley trekking through a sub-tropical jungle, then a dense forest of oak, birch and pine before the valley opens out into alpine meadows and yak pastures. In the spring these high meadows are carpeted with a rich variety of alpine wild flowers also the forests are also in full bloom with rare tree orchids and the colorful rhododendron, Nepal's national flower, also a spring highlight. The Langtang forests are also well known for their wildlife, including red pandas, Himalayan black bear, wild boar and langur monkeys - you are likely to see packs of these monkeys between Syabru and Ghora Tabela. Beyond Langtang village is the summer settlement of Kyanjin with its small gompa and cheese factory. Our trail camp here amongst yak pastures, dominated by the fluted north west face of Kangchenpo, whilst Kyangjin Ri at 4708m provides a splendid viewpoint. The views from here are as spectacular as anywhere in the Himalaya, a 360 degree panorama of snow capped including the awesome Langtang Lirung, Pemthang Ri, Langshisha Ri, Dorje Lakpa, and Kangchenpo, Tilman's fluted peak. Descending from the upper Langtang Valley, we retrace the route back to Syabru Bensi than drive to Kathmandu or if you wish to make Gosainkund Helambu trekking will be possible according to your holiday schedule.
Day 01: Arrival in kathmandu. Our office representative will meet you there and transfer to hotel, briefing about trekking. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: After breakfast, our tour guide will take to for historical monuments sightseing in kathmandu valley such as Bhaktapur, Pasupatinath, Boudhhanath, Kathmandu durbar square and Monkey temple (swyambhunath) overnight at Kathmandu in Hotel.
Day 03: Katmandu by bus /private vehicle to Sybru Bensi
Day 04: Sybru Bensi trke to Bambo.
Day 05: Bambo trek to Lama Hotel.
Day 06: Lama Hotel trek to Langtang valley.
Day 07: Langtang valley trek to Kyanjin Gompa.
Day 08: Kyanjin Gompa acclimataization day (During this day you will hike Kyanjin Ri and walk to Tserko Ri for superb Himalayan scenery including Langtang Lirung, Yala peak, Naya khanga, Ganesh Himal, Tibetian Himalaya range etc & back to Kyanjin gompa. overnight at Kyanjin gompa.
Day 09: Kyanjin Gompa trek to Ghora Tabela.
Day 10: Ghora Tabela trek to Sybru village /Gaun
Day 11: Sybru village / Gaun trek to Dhunche
Day 12: Dhunche by bus/private vehicle back to Katmandu.
Day 13: After breakfast, Relaxing/shopping with own activities, our representative will drop to Kathmandu international airport for onward destination.
