During your
trekking in Nepal, accommodation is straightforward and offers limited options,
so don't expect the Luxuries as your home. We use a simple family-run guest
house or a tea house Lodge. If available, we offer a private double or twin
room with a shared bathroom. There will not always be access to a hot shower.
Depending on height and location, accommodations typically incur additional
costs for a bucket of warm water, which you can mix with cold water for
washing.
During Your
trek, you can expect to get mainly continental and local meals ordered from the
menus. Most of the tea houses offer Nepalese, Tibetan, Chinese, and even Indian
and Italian dishes. We offer three meals a day with tea or coffee. The food on
the trek is usually vegetarian, and the staples are rice, vegetable curries,
lentil soup, pasta, bread, potatoes, Momo, French fries, etc. Dessert is not
including in the package.
There are
fewer varieties in higher places near mountain base camps than in lower areas.
Whenever possible, we try to offer you fresh vegetables from the village and
fresh fruit. You can choose the food as you like, but it is better not to order
different dishes for each person since it takes a long time to cook so many meals,
especially during lunch. You can buy bottled water in the mountains, but we
recommend that you bring water purifiers such as iodine and avoid bottled
water. Water bottles are the primary source of pollution in the mountains. If you trek at high altitude like Everest base
camp, Drinking alcohol can increase the possibility of altitude sickness, so don't
drink alcohol until you come back to a lower elevation.
We do not
expect you to have a severe problem with your trip. However, if you have a severe
illness, we will do our best to take you to the nearest hospital. However, you
are responsible for all costs incurred during the evacuation process.
Therefore, it is good that you have insurance that covers your expenses.
Travel
insurance for each of our company's travel routes is a prerequisite for booking
a vacation. You must have at least one emergency and repatriation insurance
that must include the cost of the mountain rescue. Please read the terms and
conditions of your insurers carefully and, in particular, make sure the
following are covered: 1) Activities (i.e. tourism, hiking or mountaineering)
2) maximum altitude reached on trekking 3) evacuation of the helicopter in case
of emergency. You must understand that you will bear the cost of the evacuation
and return procedures and that it is your responsibility to take all costs
associated with the evacuation or medical treatment. You should be fully aware
of the implications of your travel insurance and understand the inclusion and
exclusions of your policy. Please note that our business guide may, under
certain circumstances, initiate helicopter rescue (or other necessary)
operations in medical emergencies without first seeking approval from your
insurance company.
Physical fitness and experience
requirements
Altitude
sickness will come from 3000 meters. Generally, there are no altitude problems
below 3,000 meters, usually for people in stable health. But this can lead to
altitude-related illnesses. If you have a health condition that can cause
problems, see a doctor to know if walking is possible. For your information,
your guide will also have pills for altitude sickness and other necessary
medications.
Khopra Ridge
Trek is a moderate trek, and you need to walk 5 to 6 hours a day with a light
backpack. The trek is relatively easy for those who are used to running at higher
altitudes. We highly request you to jog and exercise frequently at least a few
months before the start of your trip. Previous hiking experiences would be a
bonus, but technical knowledge is not needed for this trip. It is also essential
that you should consult with your doctor before booking the trek.
Trekking guides and
other staff arrangements
The most
important thing is that makes this trip so pleasant and unforgettable are the
competent, experienced, educated, and helpful guides and crew members who can
easily survive our days in the mountains. Our journey is led by the best and
most professional trekking guide. All of our employees are carefully selected
based on their appropriate experience, leadership skills, and personal talent. To
support local people, we choose only local people as employees who have
sufficient knowledge of the culture, ecosystem, flora, fauna, geography and
history of their local regions.

I did 13
days Khopra Danda trek (It is also known as the Khopra Danda community trek) in
the year 2018 with Nepal Tour & Trekking Service P. Ltd. This 13-day adventure trekking took us through
the hills of Nangi and the famous Kali Gandaki Gorge. It offers cultural and
natural highlights. Every village we passed has its character and provides a
great insight into the rural life of the magical people. A walk through the varied
landscape was a pleasure. It could be even more beautiful when the rhododendrons
are in bloom. Mr. Ganesh suggests this hike, and we had an enjoyable experience;
we learned and had a lot of fun. Our guide took good care of us from the
beginning to the end of our trip. Special thanks to Kishor for organizing our
wonderful trip. We are planning another trip in 2022. We will definitely choose
you.
